Thrall's Cafe & Catering

I was hungry as I left Nacogdoches headed towards Chireno Tx on state hwy 21 - having not eaten all day - so I called ahead to have Thraws make ready a hamburger. I arrived 5 minutes after the order was placed so I took some time looking at notifications on my phone. Both the store and restaurant were dead at 2:00 PM, but historically it has taken 20 minutes or so before my order was completed. I walked in expecting a wait but to my surprise the pretty young lady walked over to my burger already in a sack and began to ring it up. Great surprise. The order taker had neglected to place the drink on the order so the young lady quickly added it. The fries and burger tasted great as I continued my trip down hwy 21 eating my distracted drivers special. Good food ! Great service!

The food here is so good I almost don't want to say anything so there's more for me! The BBQ sandwich is a lunch staple and it tastes so good you should probably order 2. They have all the good sides - fried okra, corn nugs, cornbread you'd be willing to fight for - and the non BBQ menu is all spectacularly tasty. If you're anywhere in Nac and you don't come here to eat, you're doing yourself a disservice.

All you can eat Sunday lunch... This was the second time my wife and I tried. It was great again. The hamburger steak was probably the best I have ever had. The fish is great as well. Everyone is nice and friendly. Will be back once a month probably for many more times to come. You should give it a try. For sure...... Tate

Great little country restaurant. Food was good. Service was great! I’ll be back for the Friday bbq buffet!

Best fries I have ever eaten. I am 66 so that is saying a lot! Fish is fried to perfection. Hush puppies sure were good too. Service was so kind and thoughtful.
