The White Gables Inn

Our host Stephanie was wonderful, the room was great…we stayed in Kearsage room, and the en suite bathroom was amazing. The breakfast was incredible. The muffins were gluten free and so good we had no idea they were until she told us. The rest of breakfast was so good too!

I really can't speak highly enough of this accommodation and it's wonderful hosts, Steph and Mike. They got us out of a hole when we visited Fryeburg (our original 'hotel' let us down), and they came to our rescue at the last minute. The house is superb, and our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Despite it being a last minute booking, Steph still managed to put on a wonderful breakfast for us. This will remain one of our fondest memories of our trip to Maine (along with a visit to the awesome BBQ Smokehouse restaurant next door).

LITTLE things that make a BIG difference. The loan of a computer charger, when you realized you left yours at home. Fresh baked bread in the morning. Extra heat source for the colder weather. Great location for day trips, from which to return to a clean, quiet and very cozy room. Definitely bookmarked to return again! Thank you, Stephanie, for a memorable stay!

Our stay at White Gables was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The home is beautiful, spotless, and full of charm, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The setting in Fryeburg is peaceful and scenic—ideal for relaxing while still being close to all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. Steph was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed and a great cook. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the entire space felt warm and inviting. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend White Gables to anyone looking for a serene, high-quality getaway in Maine!

We loved our overnight stay at the White Gables Inn. Stephanie is a great host. She even let us visit her dogs as we were missing ours. The house is amazing and rooms very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, the most unbelievable yogurt as part of it. My husband ate it all and he usually refuses to eat yogurt.
