Bistro at The Old Saco Inn

We went on the recommendation from one of my customers. To say we were most pleased is an understatement. The setting for this old world inn, nestled back 1/4 mile in the woods, is breathtaking. The Food and service were top notch. We were pampered and every need was tended to. A 5⭐️ review and well worth another. Make the reservation, go and you won’t be disappointed.

We visited early March, on a Saturday night and loved some parts of the experience and others, not so much. Ambience: Located off the path a bit in Fryeburg, the restaurant does a wonderful just of an intimate but upscale ambience. (4/5) Food: We ordered a white russian (cocktail), artichoke dip (appetizer) and a seafood scampi (entree, that we were told would be served with a side of vegetable of the day- asparagus). The white russian and appetizer was delicious. So were the bread rolls provided! Absolutely decadent and we enjoyed those very much. (4/5) The seafood scampi was very underwhelming. The noodles weren't done all the way through, they were quite stiff. The lemon in the dish was so overwhelming, you couldn't taste much else. The side of veggies never came. 2 stars because th

Terrific fall setting! Grounds so beautiful. New dining setting first class and roomy. Meals exquisite and kudos to bar tender for best martinis we've ever had. Will be back!
