Customer Reviews
The food was good, the service was better, and the place was crowded. These are the ingredients for a high demand restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh! If you're looking for a spot that gives you a charismatic vibe and you're okay with close quarters, this might be the spot for you. I would not say that it is particularly accessible for our handicapped- or varied able-bodied Neighbors, though. There are steps leading up the the bar and bathroom, but there is also outdoor seating, which may be the most accessible option for some. I ordered a Warren Burger with cheddar cheese and a side of sweet potato tater tots. My friend ordered the bison burger and reported it to be very good! She selected a side salad to pair with her burger, which appeared fresh and robust!
We had the best time at the Warren! Traveling from out of town, and we were recommended to come here on two separate occasions at other nearby bars. For food, we had the salmon bites, potstickers, shrimp shumai and the red dragon rolls. Everything was delicious, with the salmon bites being our absolute favorite. For drinks, we had the old fashioned, a Moscow mule, and Zinfandel. The old fashioned was one of the best we’ve ever had. Our waitress Talicia was very attentive and personable. Spencer Warren, the owner, came by our table and was extremely friendly. We ended up sharing a drink and lots of laughs.
Great vibes all around. Our bartender was truly phenomenal; that kind of old school customer service where you're managing 100+ people at the same time and still make every customer feel like they're the only person in the room. Really great stuff s/o bartender Michael!
Hands down the best Old Fashioned and Sushi I’ve had in a long time. The double patty Bison burger was everything and more. It may have been my first time there, but it will not be my last!
We really enjoyed our time at The Warren! It was a little hard to find, being from out of town, as the signage was not super prominent. But once inside, we could understand why this place has a good reputation. The menu here is out of this world tasty. The Chicken Katsu Sammi is a MUST- we also ordered the Crab Rangoon Dip which was so yummy, and the sushi was also a banger. The Steak and Cheese was decent; for us, it could have used a sauce or more cheese, but I can appreciate there being an option for people whose palettes are overwhelmed by bolder flavors. Our server, Ellie, was so lovely and gave us some stellar recs across our meal. Overall, giving this a 5 for the food and vibes. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Pitt.
