The Ugly Dog Public House- Highlands

I've been there lots of times and I'm pretty sure that the ugly dog is one of my top 3 @ Highlands! It's not expensive, has wide variety of drinks, and my boyfriend loves the burguers they serve there.. Sometimes it's crowded and you have to wait to get a seat, which is why I give the service 4 ⭐..

The chicken was uncooked/had a weird texture. Had to return it. The quality of food was very basic. The salad was good. The server didn’t bring our drinks out and we had to take them ourselves.

Pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and burgers to choose from. I got a Salmon BLT with avocado and green fried tomato. Ordered a house salad which was generous in size. Hubby got the Cuban. We both got rings. All was very good. Fun, cozy atmosphere.

Nice bar restaurant. Even though we were there on the off season there was quite a wait but it went fast. We got two drinks at the bar and I at the time didn’t realize they were $25 for a beer and one mixed drink so I’m not sure if I was over charged or it was one of the most expensive liquor drinks in the world. I had one more beer with my meal and the total for two burgers and a beer was $35 bucks so i honestly don’t know what happened. Besides that the burgers were good and the live music was great.

Friendly and helpful staff and fun environment. Good food with large portions, try the whipped feta appetizer. We will be back on our next trip to Highlands.
