The Terrace Hanalei (Upstairs)

This was one of our favorite meals in Hanalei, along with Tahiti Nui. We had the ceviche and the brussel sprouts for appetizers. The ceviche had a good flavor and the brussel sprouts were tender and had a nice sauce with just a touch of sweetness. For the main course, we had the braised beef short rib and it was super tender and juicy. We substituted to get the purple Okinawa sweet potato and grilled veggies for sides. The veggies were asparagus and zucchini, both very good. The service was great and we had a reservation so we got a mountain view.

The Bulgogi was amazing. We started with crab cakes and had Bulgogi bowls for lunch. Views were great and the staff was super friendly. Great stop for food in Hanalei. I'd definitely come back!

Great casual option to pop into if you need a break from sitting on food truck benches. Nice menu with many options. The cocktail and drinks menu is also extensive. The beet salad was great, they accommodated adding grilled fish to it. The portions are very generous, had a hard time finishing the salad. Go hungry and plan to share. The best thing we ate hands down was the Ahi burger crusted in furikake. Would go back just to eat that again! The restaurants set in an open mall setting with other shops around it. We parked a block away. Decent AC and airy spot to eat and cool off. Menu is extensive and has various vegan options too. The restaurant is large and has a lot of tables and bar seating as an option too. Enjoy!

Great menu variety. Vegan friendly. Nice view, as it’s upstairs. Elevator access for those with mobility issues. Friendly staff. Prompt service.

Five-star in every way possible!! We’ve stayed at Kauai for a week and stumbled upon this place after strolling around Hanalei Pier. The views, the food and the service are exemplary!! We ordered vegetarian options and the few they had were the best food we had this trip. Our waiter was awesome, with her recommendations. Our family enjoyed this dining experience the most of our stay!!
