Honestly… this place is such a vibe. We stopped by Big Nick’s in Hanalei on Friday around 4:30 PM, not even super hungry, but we wanted something quick and local before the evening plans. The spot is small and simple (in a good way), and it feels like the kind of place that’s been doing their thing forever — no fake “tourist trap energy.” What we ordered: • I got the Big Nick’s Burger • My wife got the Da Local Plate • Total for two: $49 First of all — my wife’s Da Local Plate was a straight-up 5/5. The flavors were on point and it just tasted fresh and satisfying. She was genuinely happy with it (which is always the real test). My burger was solid. Delicious and a must try in Hanalei! We stopped in for an early lunch and were glad we did. We got a Teri chicken bowl and a Chili Pepper Chicken plate. Both were tasty, but I by far preferred the Teri chicken. The amount of Char and sauce in the Teri chicken was like a match made in heaven. The rice was sticky, the potato salad was top notch, and I loved the added flavor from the green onion they put on both. The bowl was a good a good portion for most, while I’d say the plate is what someone with a big appetite should roll with! In our case, I was good with a bowl for lunch, and the plate was plenty for my wife to share with a 2 year old and 4 year old haha. They have indoor and outdoor seating, place is in great shape, and staff were all nice. Worth a stop, 100%

Probably the best place to eat in Hanalei! Highly recommend trying the “da local plate” - the beef and chicken with that insanely good sauce were next level. The potato salad that comes on the side is also amazing. My husband ordered a burger, and the patty was incredibly tender and juicy. Service was fast and super friendly, and we had dinner on their cute patio with a view of the mountains, which made the whole experience even better. Such a great vibe. Prices are totally reasonable for a place like this. Defintely recommend stopping by!

Big Nick's offers solid BBQ and is one of the better options in busy/touristy Hanalei. Pulled pork, chicken, etc. are all winners and highly recommended. Small tables for dining in, can get take out as well, turn around time for orders isn't bad either. Great spot for a delicious and filling meal.

We had a bite at Big Nick's for a whole family. Everything we ordered was absolutely great and delicious, burgers are very juicy, we had big Nick which was special. I also recommend asian chicken salad and local plate. The place is a little tight on seating, but you can seat outside. Location is also suitable as its along the main road. Highly recommend! Spend $126 for family of two adults and four kids.
