The Sweet Retreat

Truly my favorite place on Oahu for ice cream! I think I most appreciate being known for my order as I walk up ☺️ We love getting to chat flavor combos and island life when we stop for a swirl 🍦 Funky Monkey is the banana/peanut butter/cacao combo of dreams - but for berry lovers I strongly suggest the kookaberry or blueberry with the peanut butter drizzle (like an ice cream PB&J). I really appreciate the precautions around cross contamination for those of us with dairy allergies!

The finest non-dairy ice cream (also dairy-full for you lucky ducks) and loveliest folks you’ll meet on Oahu. Husband and wife team with a smoother texture and more robust fruit flavors than others (I’m looking at you, “Sweet As”)…and the amazing “Funky Monkey” creation (think Ben and Jerry’s “Chunky Monkey”, only better!). We have never been disappointed, only delighted. Part of our regular rotation. Glad to see them expanding. Make sure you check their location on Instagram! They pop around the island.
