One of the best beaches on Oahu for sure. The public side is only open on the weekends, but hosts a spacious beach with multiple bathrooms and plenty of parking. The beaches are great with waves appropriate for near shore activities. Not very good snorkeling. Bathrooms are not great but better than none at all! There is limited cell reception in the area. The military only side hosts a similar beach, greatly improved bathroom and amenities, a more private environment, and paved parking.

Another gorgeous beach that sadly is full of plastic. Would be nice if there was more care put into keeping the trash from flying out of the open garbage cans... An upgrade to the washroom facilities would also be beneficial. A volunteer sweep of the beach to get rid of the small plastics would help the environment.

One of my favorite beaches on Oahu. Because it requires a military ID not many people have access so we were able to enjoy the beach practically alone. The beach is clean and the water perfectly turquoise. It was a great experience.

Heard about this spot from a friendly army fellah - spot on. The sand was nice n soft, waves surprisingly gentle for the wee ones, and the view was epic. Great spot. We came nice and early, practically had the beach to ourselves. 5 for 5 all day long. 🤙

Gorgeous beach with nice sand. Highly recommend coming on a weekday if you have military access. We went twice and basically had the place to ourselves. There are a couple of pavilions that are nice and convenient. A large section of beach does not allow ground disturbing activities (digging, sand castle building, etc), but if you head far to one side or the other it’s allowed. We played in the waves for hours! Word of warning: we were told after one visit that these waters can have Portuguese Man of War jellyfish in them. Luckily we didn’t encounter any.
