The State

I have never been to one of their locations but it looked promising. The State burger came out exactly as ordered, very happy to get a grilled bun too. I was able to get a side salad instead of french fries which was really amazing. The decor is modern, and whole experience was great overall. We both decided we would return again as there were other menu items we wanted to try.

The Drunken Pig is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. You won’t regret it. Nice spot in downtown Monrovia. Everything looked great, but this burger was very memorable.

First time visit, atmosphere is pretty nice, they know what they’re doing when it comes to cocktails & food is great- meatballs were so good! (As well as the creme brûlée) - there is room for improvement on their “state salad”, but besides that everything else was fine. Staff are super nice 👍🏻

The food was delicious! Portion sizes were generous. Everything beautifully plated. My only drawback was we ordered the burger medium well, and it was full on pink in the middle.

The State is a great place to rest, have a drink, and enjoy a meal smack in the middle of Monrovia historical district. We were there for lunch and were glad we tried it. The place has bar seating by the sidewalk so everything is open. A great way to sit back, have a drink and people watch. The tacos were street tacos, about 5" wide, no sides. We tried their Belgian Trippel on draft. Everything was delicious. The short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth soft. Very flavorful.
