Republik Coffee Monrovia

A super cute coffee shop addition to Old Town Monrovia and it fits in perfectly. They have an outdoor patio in the back as well as some up front! The inside has limited seating and it’s best for a party of two. Mug service is in effect when you dine in so if you’re into that like me then I know you’ll enjoy your experience. Their coffee and teas are pretty good and I can say that after ordering their Cortado along with the Turmeric and London Fog tea lattes. Service was ok and my only issue with that was their attitude after they saw what I tipped. That’s not cool in my book but other than that it’s a great place to sit and have your morning coffee or whatever time of day you enjoy it. So excited Republik Coffee is finally open in Old Town Monrovia!! Today is the day they start their soft opening. We loved the coffees and pastries we tried and everyone was so friendly! I arrived right at opening and when I left the line was already almost out the door lol. For my drink, I tried the seasonal Purple Caramel Latte (iced) and loved it! A wonderful balance between the ube and caramel flavors and their coffee is very smooth. It's also beautiful! Hubby tried the Turmeric Ginger Latte (hot) - perfectly spiced and cozy - we would get both of these again. I really love that all of their syrups are made in-house. For our breakfast we sampled the ham and cheese croissant, raspberry danish, and orange polenta. The flavors are fantastic and their pastries all had flawless texture! T

4.5 the best service from a young kid i believe his name was Arv or irv? he is in tje pic, the cooks look hard at work, but i only tried the coffee and pastries, the drink was really good pistachio latte i believe, the pastries were Ummm Just OK they tasted like they are bought some where else and resold, no problem in that but i just feel this much elegance is just missing this touch, over all its good solid 4.5 its a good solid experience, the manager in the italian hat just needs to smile a bit more, the crew get a 5. star the manager a 4 for not smiling LOL

Just went for the first time and was very surprised. We thought it was just gonna be another coffee shop in monrovia , but we were pleasantly surprised. Naomi helped us and she was a delight. She was very helpful and knew the menu very well and had great suggestions. Also the place was packed but somehow she greated us when we walked in the door. We had like 3 drinks and 2 food items.
