The Standard CLCL -- Brownwood Coffee Shop

I see some of the reviews and that they are really good and I’m glad that they all had great experiences as they should. My first visit 2/24/26 in the afternoon was anything but welcoming and pleasant from the young high school girl. I went in and the girl was busy making a couple of drinks so I waited in line and noticed to the right of the edge of the counter was a tall glass container jar full of peanut butter protein balls for a $1.50 ea. I looked for a tong or napkin which wasn’t there and so I took 1 being I hadn’t eaten lunch and was starved! As I waited in line I did eat it. Then the girl was ready for my order and I ordered a small Ice Chi Coffee w/cream only and 2-3 pumps of simple syrup. The girl looked at me and said the chi coffee is already sweet. Great coffee with so many options. Love the pastries as well and the owner and staff are always very polite and welcoming.

This place is that local coffee shop with the the best coffee around. The blended coffee beats Starbucks any day, seasonal specials, and a small variety of snacks. They are located between the hospital and the hotel, follow the covered walkway. A quiet place to get some school or work done.

What a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be. Tucked in the corner of the CAHB, the coffee shop is cozy and inviting, with just the right mix of warmth and calm. NDS.

What a delightful shop. I’m so glad this guy told me about it while waiting in line forever at a different coffee shop only to get the wrong coffee. This is now my go to spot ❤️
