The Smoked Taco

I have a new favorite place! The flavors of these tacos far exceeded my expectations! The Memphis pork with candied jalapeños was amazing. The sauce on the steak frites taco with tri tip was incredible. The flavors of the bang bang shrimp taco were so great together. Last but not least, the elote here is so very good! Corn, cream, cojito cheese, and again the candied jalapeños and crunch fried onion - I’ve never tasted corn like this! Trying to figure out how to go back for dinner again tonight.

We stopped by recently for the first time. The atmosphere was modern and the dining area kept clean. Service was friendly. They have an assortment of large tacos filled with all sorts of bold flavors. It is a refreshing menu and they have some creative, very delicious options. We tried four tacos (can't remember exactly which ones now) and all were absolutely fantastic, every bite bursting with unique flavors. The prices were maybe a hair on the high side; I initially had to ask if the price was for a single taco or for two. The price for two of us to have a couple tacos was low-end table-service money. But overall, very good, and we'll definitely be back!

I reviewed this place, but at the Saratoga Springs location. Let me just tell you…..smoking! I really didn’t remember how exceptional the food was until we stopped in at the Bountiful location. Both my wife and I got the “gringo” (brisket taco), and I additionally ordered the “Memphis” and a newer concoction like loaded tatie tots…..Bangin’!! The fusion of American smokehouse and Mexican is a match made in heaven!!! You have to try this place. The candied jalapeños are sooo good. Not spicy, just flavorful. And the house salsa tastes like it’s smoke infused. Loved it!!!

Not only is the food worth returning for, but the customer service is great too. A young man, was working grill while taking orders. He was pleasant even under pressure. The volume this store did on a Tuesday afternoon was unremarkable. Most of the table were full when I arrived. The line was wrapped all the way to the front door. After I ordered the line was still full. Often in the service industry this goes unnoticed. Thank you for your service! Your team is doing amazing!

The chicken "bird" taco had a very good flavor, but very little meat. Maybe 1.5 tablespoons. Also, if you prefer to drink water, bring your own because the water from their dispenser is nasty.
