The food was really fresh. The atmosphere was fun and fully themed in an old diner style. Very affordable prices. Subs, ice cream, cookies, and drinks. Very clean and well-kept bathrooms. The meatball sub was ok but the white bread was good. The sub with everything on it had the freshest and best tasting ingredients (tried ALL the veggies and and-ons). The bread for that sub was a little stale. I feel like with the right bread and sub-contents, it could be really great 👏🏼

I have eaten here many times over the years. The sandwiches are always fresh and made on the spot. It's an old-fashioned shop with a fountain drink machine. I like the lemon, cherries, and syrups that you can add to your soda. The price is good, about $8.00 for an eight inch sandwich. Make it a combo with a soda, chips and cookie for less than $3.00. The bread on my sandwich was dry today, but the made it again for me and apologized. The bread is normally soft and very good.

Its a cute spot, tucked away in a corner of a strip mall. Worth the look. Good price. Sammys are to exactly to order. Staff are very attentive.

I kept hearing about the "Gen Z stare" but didn't believe it was a real thing. Then I went to Spanky's in Bountiful. All three employees behind the counter just stared at us when we came in. No greeting, no smiling, no acknowledgment. They barely even acknowledged each other. Just standing and staring. My wife ordered a salad, which ended up just being a pile of shredded lettuce thrown into a plastic container. We weren't asked what dressing we wanted for the salad, so we assumed there would be some on the counter with the condiments. Unless you wanted twenty different kinds of hot sauce on your salad, you're out of luck there. We had to flag someone down behind the counter to get salad dressing. The employee we finally got to help was very nice, at least, but didn't even know what salad d
