The Sheldon Mansion is an amazing destination! My family books the entire mansion for our family reunion every year. The hosts, Marianne and Steve, are so warm and friendly, they make you feel like family. Love the vintage decor, comfy beds and delicious breakfast served on the sun porch.

My wife, 1 year old, and I are exploring upstate New York as we consider moving. We stayed at Steve and Marianne's mansion with a fairly last minute, Memorial Day Weekend booking. The price was reasonable and the reviews were good, so I didn't hesitate to book.||The owners are more than accommodating—welcoming children, no strict check-in or check-out times. And they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.||We booked the Saratoga Room which was plenty big, but if we stay again we would book a suite, so our baby/toddler could sleep in a separate room in peace and quiet. ||Steve and Marianne were friendly, affable, hosts. My wife & I just enjoyed a wonderful weekend at The Sheldon Mansion. Steve & Marianne were terrific hosts, very welcoming & supportive; also cooking & serving us great breakfasts.

We are heading home from a 3 night stay at Sheldon Mansion and couldn't be happier. As a southerner, Steve was on a mission to make sure we experienced the best Northen Hospitality possible and he most certainly succeeded! The rooms were so nice, bed was super comfy, everything was so clean and neat. I'm most definitely upgrading my bathroom towels at home to what they have, so soft and fluffy! Breakfast each morning was delicious and served at a time that worked with our schedule. I certainly wasn't expecting them to be so accommodating but Steve and Marianne made us feel truly welcomed. We honestly felt like we were staying with friends. If we ever travel back to the area, we will absolutely be staying there again. I truly can't recommend Sheldon Mansion enough. 🥰
