The Restaurant at INNESS

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at INNESS, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the very first moment, the service was truly exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared - simple in the best possible way, exactly what we were in the mood for. We enjoyed dishes like avocado toast and a beautiful plate with eggs, bacon, and vegetables on the side, as well as a great hamburger option for the kids. A very nice restaurant with a really interesting menu. I went for scallops which were outstanding.... a really clever dish. My wife had sweet potatoes which again were excellent. My main was fluke with greens which was an enjoyable dish but personally would have enjoyed something like potatoes with it. Which leads me to my only gripe with the restaurant.... some of the service really wasn't great. The food is highend and really should be celebrated with some explanation of the dish on delivery.... rather than being plonked down (in the wrong order). But the biggest annoyance was at the end the waiter standing over me waiting for me to finish my desert after collecting my wife's plate. That's just not a done thing really. The food is soulful and the views are amazing! All the dishes we got were great, especially the marinated mushrooms, pomodoro pasta, and the dark chocolate mousse. The servers are very nice and the place has a farm-to-table vibe. Would highly recommend.

We came to Inness for my fiancés birthday dinner and were very excited. We started at the gate house and had a cocktail with Caitlin- she was amazing, friendly, and our drinks were great. We then sat in the lounge room and Rosie took care of us. Not only was the service horrific, but she was very rude, forgetful, and had a cold persona - which was unlike the warm environment of the restaurant. To sum it up- She did not discuss the menu with us, clear our dirty silverware between courses, and she rushed to get us out by corking our wine for us before even offering the dessert menu. I wish I could say we would love to return, because the food and atmosphere were incredible. But something has to be changed about the service, it killed the experience.

Beautiful view and the cocktail we ordered was delicious but we never had a server just random service and French fries were cold and when they brought out new ones they were the tiny burnt pieces. My husband had the turkey sandwich which was good. Nothing out of the ordinary but nice view. Would come back for a drink but that’s it!
