The Public Library of Brookline -- Putterham Library

Very nice and relaxing place to read. Interesting collection of books.

The staff is usually friendly. The library could have a larger children’s area - even the little toy house that they used to have there is now gone… And the hours are very unusual. Still, it’s very positive that the neighborhood maintains a library - the Public Library of Brookline should consider holding more children’s activities here, since it’s much easier to park and to access than the other units.

This beautiful library has small collections and amiable staff. There is an open children's area with very little parental supervision. It can get loud as the sound echoes from one end of the building to the other, so it is not a suitable place if you are looking for a "quiet" library. The emphasis of use for this space is for parents with their small children rather than for the student.

Great library. Front landscaping finally cleaned up after years. Looks much better. Easy to check out books. Friendly, helpful staff. Sometimes, not enough parking.
