The Porch on the Green

Just 30 minutes from Tallahassee, The Porch on the Greens offers a cozy, welcoming setting in a renovated old house. The menu mixes American favorites with global touches—think fish tacos, spicy shrimp, and pear sachetti. We loved the Blackened Grouper with Beurre Blanc sauce and the Chocolate Martini, smooth and sweet but surprisingly strong. Great service, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a lovely spot for a meal with friends or family.

The best deviled eggs I have ever had. The Grouper nuggets were perfect. Ashley is an amazing waitress. I would give ten Stars if I could.

I recently visited the Porch on the Green at 925 E Washington St, in Monticello, FL. I had a late lunch there on my way back home..I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted and my drink order taken. I then discussed my menu choices with the server. I decided on a chicken wrap with potato salad. They were both delicious. The decor was fantastic and I took around the four dining areas.

We had an absolutely spectacular, fine dining quality lunch here. Wonderful food with attention to detail that we normally see in very high end restaurants. Service was wonderful. Neat and clean in a very relaxed setting. Don't miss out on this very enjoyable dining experience. We will be there every time we visit Monticello..
