Tupelo's Bakery & Cafe

I recently visited Tupelo's Bakery at 220 W Washington St, in Monticello, FL. I was passing through and decided to stop. I went to the counter and was quickly greeted and my order taken. I choose a scone from the selection of baked goods available. I relaxed and drank my coffee with my scone watching the locals come and go. A very nice and friendly place to stop

Don't waste your time. This is a one horse town bakery. They don't care about service because they used to be the only game in town. Visibly they have a full staff but their bakery display case only has a few scattered items. Their website has a diverse selection of items listed. But don't be fooled. Just because it is on their menu doesn't mean they have it available for purchase. The website stated an item was available the next morning but hurry as they often run out due to popularity... So I went and waited because they don't open until 8am🤯. The door said closed so I waited. Then I saw people coming in from the other door so I entered. I was the second one in line. When I ordered the item I was simply told "Oh, we didn't make that today." This is the second time this has happene

I absolutely love this restaurant. I was very skeptical at first due to I was the only minority there. Which means black. But the staff was very friendly and nice. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend them and definitely eat there again.

Excellent food. We got the tomato spinach feta quiche, classic BLT, the hippie chick sandwich, and a kids grilled cheese. The food was amazing! Highly recommended. Photo below is of the Hippie Chick Sandwich.

Very tasty!!!! Great salads and I ordered my daughters wedding cake from here! Just a nice little spot to get a sandwich, salad or treat. The brownies are yummy, too.
