The Peddler

My wife is disabled, so I normally get food to go. I ordered 2 to go orders of the buffet. The young lady waiting on me was very sweet. I paid 40 bucks including tip. As I was leaving a manager said I got lucky this time because the lady who waited on me was new and next time I will only be allowed one container for take out. It's totally ridiculous to expect to go orders to put salad or dessert on top of your entree. I told her I won't be back. You lost two good tipping customers over a 2 cent salad bowl. The only person needing training is the rude manager.

First time visiting the Peddler in Livingston and will definitely be back! May not look like much but good food for a reasonable price. All you can eat buffet & salad bar is 14.99. This is a pic of my second plate just so I'd have something to post but everything was good, the catfish was some of the best I've had, the bread sticks alone I could make a meal of. The mashed potatoes were not the instant kind and great with the gravy from the chopped steak. The fried okra was just perfect. I even enjoyed the teriyaki chicken and rice, Americanized as it was, the chicken was delicious and not dry at all. Only thing I didn't bother with was the pizza bc I wanted the other stuff more lol but my partner said it was good. They also have free arcade machines.

The meal was great except the fries and they were really bad but the service was really great and I asked her name and it was Dixie she was taking care of all the people there while the rest were on their phones she’s worth a 20 dollar tip they need more like her you need to shut it down and clean this was inside your ice machine and the beer taps hasn’t been cleaned since they were put in where I come from I call this nasty

We absolutely love this place. The food is great and the portions are generous you definitely don’t leave there hungry. The staff members are very friendly and polite. The waitresses are awesome they always have a smile on their faces.

Servers are nice. Food is NEVER the same.. no consistency and the pizza is terrible.. the sauce on it gave me so much heartburn. I have tried this place and have wanted to like it but I just can't. The salad is ok.. on the salad bar.. but nothing else on the hot bar seems fresh.
