Stover's Country Kitchen

While we have enjoyed ourselves the few times we have been, I will say the only thing lacking has been the food quality sometimes. The burgers I’ve had are just ok, and the catfish was a little greasy. Their pies are amazing though. Definitely has the small town “locals” only vibe, but they have always been very nice when we’ve been in. It’s a nice option close to home.

We are always trying to stop at small local eateries and we found a gem. If you are looking for fancy this place isn't for you. It is just a plain building that serves amazing food. I had the Chefs salad and Trish our server said that the large size was huge. It was but the best part is that it might have been the freshest salad I have ever had. My husband had the Catfish special and he loved it. You won't be disappointed.

I came looking for some chocolate gravy and biscuits and found it! As good as grandmama's, an Overton County specialty. Our party of 20 was no problem for the staff on a Tuesday morning before noon. Cooks know how to make all styles of eggs correctly. Scrambled hard, runny, over hard, over medium, over easy... they can do it all. Atmosphere here is county and Christian. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to come back for more.

First time visitors for lunch. The weekend specials are a great value. The wait staff was friendly, efficient, and anticipated our needs. I would rank them 5 stars. However, I found the catfish to be just average. Thin filets that had more breading than meat and quite greasy. Overall I would probably return, but order something different.

Their breakfast and dinner is excellent! The workers are very friendly.! They go beyond just the good service. I had lost contents to my wallet outside of the restaurant on a Bench. They didn’t just keep it in their register, waiting for someone to claim it. They actually drove to my house to return it! Thank you Stover‘s for your southern hospitality, I will definitely be giving you my business
