The Nicholas

I can’t say enough good things! Me and my boyfriend came to celebrate our one year and New Years. The home was exceptionally clean, very cozy and beautiful! The home had everything we needed during our stay! The host was nothing short of perfection. Sending all info needed before trip, incredibly easy check in and parking. Always quick to respond if we needed something, and gave us great recommendations! We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere, king street, shops, bars, and restaurant. What a beautiful and wonderful stay we had. I look forward to staying again very soon!

I stayed at The Nicholas in July with my husband, we stayed for 3 nights in the King Suites and we had a great time, the location of this small hotel is perfect. Each rooms have different decors and layout. Our suite was on top floor so you need to carry your luggage on staircase, which wasn't a problem for us. We had a large room and shower room, lots of privacy, a space with lounge chairs on the balcony and enjoyed the beauty of the building and it's room each days and nights. A perfect stay. Thank you Trouvailles for preserving this historical house the way you do.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Nicholas! It was cozy, convenient, and very safe as a woman traveling alone for business. They provide snacks and coffee in the lobby, which was very handy for early mornings on my trip. The neighborhood was very walkable and it was a great home base for exploring Charleston. I was able to find great food and drinks in walking distance. The staff here was also incredibly helpful! Price at the front desk helped me find restaurants, made sure my room was warm with a space heater, and helped me solve problems when my flight got delayed. The staff really goes above and beyond to make you stay awesome! I’d definitely stay here again.

Took advantage of room 201 being available when making some last minute accommdations for a quick day trip to Charleston. The Nicholas is a lovely restored Charleston home. I loved everything about this spot. The location is perfect - in a cozy neighborhood downtown that is walkable to King St. and the College. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of towels, basic toiletries like shampoo/conditioner provided, a hair dryer (not a cheap mini hair dryer that just destroys your hair either). Nespresso machine in the room, but snacks and other drinks are available in the main room on the first floor with seating for grab and go breakfast which was very convenient. I didn't get to take advantage of the bikes of the plunge pool, but I will definitely look into returning to this loc

I went to Charleston with my 9 year old for a few days and we enjoyed our stay in Room 301 at The Nicholas. My daughter was nervous about the ghost of George showing up but nothing out of the ordinary occurred. We were able to walk all over downtown, had a swim at the property, were comfortable in our room, and ate fabulous food at various restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and clean and updated, and that we had access to some drinks and snacks in the common area was great for our arrival and before we headed out for the day.
