The Mill House

We've now visited The Mill House in Lufkin twice, and both experiences were excellent! On our first visit, the service was outstanding--our server was incredibly attentive, polite, and made us feel welcome right away. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean. We actually felt a little underdressed when we walked in, but they treated us like we fit right in, even though we showed up in sweats. We started with the garlic dip, which was super garlicky, cheesy, and absolutely delicious--a must-try. My wife ordered the Mill House Pasta, which was rich, cheesy, and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked chicken and shrimp. We had a lovely experience here! Our server was so attentive and helpful with dietary restrictions! We sat in the cutest “U” shaped booth. I sat in a way where I could peek into the kitchen and it looked very clean. My steak salad was good, the meat cooked well and my husband really liked his club sandwich. The cocktail list was super unique and we both really liked our drinks. Well balanced and smooth. Yummy! Will go again when in town!

Came here for cocktails - can fully recommend! Nice atmosphere at the bar counter, good liquor selection. Super friendly service. Definitely try the signature smokey old fashioned

We tried a variety of shareables: GENTLEMEN'S BOARD FIG & PROSCIUTTO CROSTINI BROWN BUTTER SCALLOPS & ROASTED GARLIC DIP! Everything was delicious. Our server Brandon went above and beyond to accommodate our party of eight. He made it an extraordinary experience. Wonderful service! We polished off our night with entertainment by Lyle Lovett at the Temple Theater. Thanks again to The Mill House!!

Tried here today for something new, great atmosphere and service was good. I has the salmon with grilled broccoli and onions and had a side of truffle fries. Wife had the chicken Cesar wrap with sweet potato fries. We shared the fried brie bites with the raspberry jam. All of it was good and we will be back.
