The restaurant itself is fantastic. I would argue that the patrons are the worst part. The mark attracts an interesting crowd. Would recommend if you’re nearby for a walk in. If I was a tourist and had limited days I wouldn’t sprint to this spot. So close to a five star experience. So so close.

We stayed at the lovely Mark in New York City. I will start this review by saying how wonderful and courteous the staff was. Couldn’t have asked for more as far as hospitality goes. We checked in and had a late lunch via their room service. We were completely surprised at the quality of food we received. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad salad, which was around $64 (yikes!) And a chicken noodle soup which was about $35+. When the food arrived, just by looking at it, you could tell it was completely underwhelming. The chicken was dry and looked as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for hours. This review is for the CHALET restaurant pop up for the holidays at the Mark. Its outside in covered chalet style add on. Felt like you were in Alsace.great fondue the best we ever had, delicious salad and the service was great. We wanted cocktails our waiter, I think k his name was Stephen had to shuttle between the hotel bar and the chalet. He did an amazing job. Great winter experience
