The Limelight lounge is one of my favorite spots in town! Sitting by the fire during their happy hour with live music can’t be beat. We always stop here when we’re in Aspen.
The restaurant had live music, which created a very pleasant and lively atmosphere. Everything was enjoyable, and the food was very good. I’d especially like to highlight the excellent service from Iván, as well as the director, Giorgina, who kindly came over to check if we were ok. We also stopped by on New Year’s Eve just for drinks, and the place had a great vibe and fun atmosphere. Considering Aspen prices, this spot is very fairly priced and a solid choice.
The food is good. The service unfortunately, not so much. We just stopped in with a party of four for dinner. We ordered three beet salads and pizzas. Pizza arrives first with the salad an immediate second. What the...? Normally salad first, a brief pause, then the main. When I brought it up to the waiter, he said I should have said something first during ordering. Really?
I had the pleasure of dining at Lime Laung, and one dish in particular truly impressed me. the babaganoush. For those unfamiliar, babaganoush is a smoky roasted eggplant or aubergine dip, a staple in Mediterranean cuisine. Lime Laung's rendition was nothing short of exceptional. The eggplant was perfectly roasted, achieving a creamy texture without losing its characteristic smoky one. created a delightful balance of tangy and savory notes. The portion size was small but okey.
Hamburger was Ok, definitely not worth the 28 dollars they charge. Ordered salad with this togo order and ended up with fries. Also shrimp tacos were not good also. Grandsons chicken strip were ok but not the best. You would expect a little better for the price they charge.
