The Lookout Restaurant & Bar

Absolutely amazing experience! DOG-FRIENDLY. We were traveling with our dog, and she was even given her own metal water bowl. Our server was a very kind, intelligent, and soft-spoken young woman with excellent manners. The food was delicious. We ordered a party tray with veggies and hummus, which was excellent, and tried several different burgers — every single one was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place. One note: since this spot is affiliated with the University of Idaho, you can’t add a tip to your card at checkout. If you’d like to tip your server, be sure to bring some cash.

We just had the best dinner at the Lookout restaurant at the UI golf course. We sat outside on the patio with the best view on the Palouse. Jack was our server and he was awesome. Took great care of us and we enjoyed appetizers, a salad, burgers, dessert and great huckleberry Lemon Drops! We will be back.

The food and service was on point. The cleanliness was good. I enjoyed myself. I would for sure recommend them.

There are lots of items on the menu here that you can't get elsewhere in town. I was impressed with the service and cocktails. My hot drink was topped with a phenomenal homemade whipped cream, and the pour was generous. I appreciated the presentation and attention to detail of my dessert. I would recommend stopping by for a drink and dessert after work, or for brunch after a morning at the arboretum or golf course.

This is a pretty basic café rather than restaurant or you can sit outside or look through the window at the golf course. The food is pretty basic. The tables are bare. This felt to me like a missed opportunity to create a really special dining experience right here in the golf course.
