The Livingston Inn

Peggy was a wonderful host. It was our first time at a B&B and i would go there again in a heartbeat. Breakfast was very good and the rooms were quiet also. I would recommend to anyone visiting Madison.

We so enjoyed our stay at The Livingston Inn. The house itself is magical, like stepping back in time, but the best part was the wonderful breakfasts and conversation with Peggy and the other guests. You won't find a more hospitable host than Peggy. Highly recommend.

We decided to take a last-minute Fall weekend trip to Madison, and found The Livingston Inn on Trip Advisor. Based on the stellar reviews, we thought it might be too good to be true. But the hype is real! This place is enchanting and every detail is thoughtful. There’s so much love in this house. Old world charm but modern comfort. The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. But the owner, Peggy, was probably the best part. She’s so full of life, and she made us feel like this was home for the weekend. Not to mention the resident greeter, Hugo. Peggy, we’d move in permanently if we could!

Was just an amazing time overall! First time ever being in a bed and breakfast and the hospitality was amazing! Peggy is such an amazing person. Loved getting to sit with her in the morning during breakfast and learn the history of the house. Would definitely recommend over and over and will definitely be back!!

We spent Thanksgiving with our daughter and husband in Madison WI this year and were absolutely delighted to have The Livingston just a few doors down from their apartment!! It is a beautiful, welcoming, warm & comfortable place to stay. The owner Peggy made us feel at home immediately!! The bed & pillows were very comfy. Plenty of hot water & towels. The breakfasts were wonderful - could smell the coffee brewing in our room in the morning!! AHHH! There was alway fresh water, tea & a lovely snack for us. Peggy was so gracious and invited our kids t join for breakfast!!! We can't say enough about the great location, wonderful accommodations, atmosphere with fireplaces lit!! It was like a home away from home!! Many thanks to the lovely, delightful Peggy for a most memorable Thanksgiving!!
