The Last Resort

This was our first time visiting Ocean Beach and we found this restaurant on Google searches for good restaurants. The food is really good. We had the corn ribs, mussels, lobster roll, and curry snapper. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Our waiter Chris was absolutely great! His recommendations were spot on and he was on point with everything. Actually the whole staff was great. We felt very welcome and the vibe was great. We would definitely come back again if we're in the area.

Absolutely loved this place! Huge portions, super friendly staff, and everything was delicious. The red snapper curry rice blew me away — rich, aromatic curry and tender fish. The Philly was also packed with flavor. Cozy vibes inside make it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal.

Happy accident. We were supposed to go to the Albatross but they were closed. Went here hoping for the best. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend the clam chowder, grilled romaine and the curry snapper (pictured). Even the blooming onion, something I would never normally order.. was fantastic. Somehow the blooming onion wasn’t greasy at all. Everything was super flavorful without being over salted - a rare thing. We ate here on October 6th… way out of season… and still everything was fresh and delicious. Justin, our waiter and one of the owners, was patient and friendly. This is a gem of a place in Ocean Beach and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wow, what an amazing menu! The food is excellent and offers something for everyone, I had the fish curry and I’m still thinking about it. One critique: the restaurant is very loud. We came with a party of six on a Saturday, and unfortunately, four of us had to leave before ordering because the music and overall noise level were overwhelming.

This is a not only a popular, centrally located option, but also genuinely excellent food and cocktails. Besides standard fare options- pull pork sliders and clam chowder - which were awesome, the coconut curry snapper is so fantastic it’s worth the ferry ride over just for this meal. Recommend also the skinny reposado margs. We will be back. Susan and Mark
