Customer Reviews
The Kingstide is an amazing gem in the Charleston area. The atmosphere, professionalism, stellar service and five star food is top notch. Madi was knowledgeable, and an overall rock star. I loved her menu recommendations and friendly approach to a solo diner. Make sure to sit at the chefs table overlooking the kitchen to see the seamless team work their magic. Thanks to Glenn for stopping by and sharing the story of the Kingstide. They even have igloos to eat in on the rooftop! Thx for a memorable meal. I love the fresh pasta and crab as well as the roasted carrots on steroids.
Fantastic knowledgeable server (? Hudson; 20-ish male); all recommendations were 🔥 great char and tender octopus, super fresh tender calamari, caesar salad with anchovies, NY strip, alaskan king crab, brussel sprouts, desserts x3 (chocolate crunch bar, cheesecake, and scoop of maple pecan vanilla ice cream. super happy about this place !
This is a nice place with a beautiful view, great food and good service. It's a little loud when the dining room is full and our server was a tad overbearing, but overall I would recommend Kingtide for the quality of food and cocktails. I also am looking forward to experiencing their outside terrace. It was beautifully set up and I can see it being a perfect spot for a drink and some snacks with friends, family, or for a special occasion
The atmosphere is what makes this place. They have an up stairs that overlooks the water and the bar window opens up, so it's beautiful at night. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could see this being a great one of my regular spots. Down stairs is an upscale seafood spot. Both places have different menus. Seems they have something for everyone. The food was good too. The hush puppies were amazing.
I had the blackened grouper served over Marsh Hen grits with a shitake-tomato butter and wood fired carrots. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Grouper was tender and flaky. The carrots were smoky with just the right amount of jalapeño heat. Both paired well with the Jax Chardonnay. The meal was topped off with a Kingstide crunch bar and a espresso martini. We ate on the porch. The view was terrific. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
