Best scotch egg ive had in America and most of England. Quality vibes and even better Guinness. Bonus point for a superb pour of Speckled Hen.
We decided to try and place we haven't been to, so we headed for the June Cork Pub, a British style pub in Dover, NH. We ordered Scotch Eggs as an appetizer with both of us ordering fish and chips for lunch. The eggs were really well prepared and delicious. My only issue was the wilted bed of arugula the eggs were sitting on. It was a drawback of the quality of the appetizer. The main meal was quite good, with decent coleslaw, mushy peas, a good sized pile of fries and a crunchy piece of fish. The pub itself is all wood and sports memorabilia, focused on soccer. The prices, unfortunately, are quite high. $73.00 before tipping is more than I was anticipating.
SERIOUS FANS ONLY. Great place to watch soccer games. There are serious fans here so make sure you wear your team gear and cheer for your team. Closest to genuine local pub you will find. CAUTION: Unless you want to stand, be sure to pre reserve a table.
First time in this British Pub. It has a pretty unique atmosphere. The place was clean and had a friendly vibe. There is bar seating, high tops, and low tops seating. The waitress was very friendly. The Scotch eggs were excellent. We also got the cauliflower bites and a Rueben sandwich. The food was good. The dessert was outstanding. It was a dessert they created and the warm cinnamon and sugar pita chips along side the ice cream sundae was great! We will definitely return.
For a slightly late lunch, a friend and I went to The June Cork Pub, eager to try out their Bri'ish food. On a President's Day Monday at 1pm, the establishment seemed at just under half occupancy. I thought I needed to wait for seating, but staff said I could pick any table and they'd head over shortly. My friend and I ordered the sausage roll ($12) and scotch egg ($13) appetizers to share, and I ordered the bangers and mash ($19) entree for myself. The sausage roll, cut up into 6 slightly larger than bite-sized pieces, consisted of flaky and buttery pastry with herbal, earthy, and slightly crumbly sausage out of its casing. Imaging homemade breakfast sausage, but less sweet and more sharp. The accompanying brown mustard provided a nice contrast, yet remained relatively mellow. It also c
