The Jeweled Turret Inn

Beautiful restored home built in 1898. The bathrooms feature a modern shower. She serves a very nice breakfast each morning. Lots of antiques all over the house but don't expect a TV in your room. Good wifi.

Very nice B&B in a convenient location on a quiet block near town center, which means near the water.||I generally don’t care for B&Bs in old Victorian houses, but this one was light, airy, and very clean. ||We stayed in the Opal Room. Comfortable room with two chairs, and armoire with a lot of good quality hangers. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a big screened window and an overhead fan. Bathroom is a good size. Shower is a little tricky; you have to pull up hard.||The hosts are very responsive to requests; gracious and friendly but not intrusive. Breakfast is served at one big shared table, with space in another room for overflow. This Victorian Home is not only beautiful outside but exquisitely decorated. The room was ‘funky’ but it’s in an old house! Beautiful windows allow sunlight and cool breeze with windows open. There are beautiful gathering places inside and wonderful covered porches that we had our take out dinner on with a nice glass of wine! We’d walked from there down to the waters edge and it was priceless. We highly recommend visiting with Carl & Cathy.

Cathy and Carl are wonderful hosts!!! A highlight of our girls’ weekend was a one night stay at the Jeweled Turret! The rooms are tidy and filled with interesting collectibles. We loved the curved porches and Cathy prepared a wonderful 3 course breakfast which we enjoyed at the communal table. Location is quiet in lovely Belfast. I wouldn’t change a thing!!! And hope to visit again!!

Had a delightful weekend stay. Cathy made us great breakfasts and coffee. Be sure to talk to Carl about Alaska. Two block walk to downtown. Comfortable beds with overhead fan and A/C. Exceptionally clean. Very quiet. Nice shower after a hard day of listening to music at the annual Celtic Celebration. No TV in the rooms but nice to get away from the world, you know! But good wifi if you need to connect or stream. Check out the amazing geologic fireplace! I know we'll be back!
