The Irons Restaurant and Bar

Fantastic restaurant in lobby of the Hilton. Portuguese Stuffies is a must-try. Crispy airy savory breading with pronounced chunks of clam and chorizo. Wonderful horseradish and southwestern aoli sauce pairing. Beer-braise short ribs fall off the fork tender. Roasted asparagus and mashed potato, well-executed too. A+ level satisfying.

The food had very generous portions and the short ribs were delicious. My husband had the Chicken sandwich he liked it very much. My niece had the short ribs mashed potatoes and asparagus the potatoes were very garlicky as was my lasagna but it was great besides the garlic. The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant and the hotel was very beautiful. I wished we had stayed at the Hilton the restaurant was attached to. It was gorgeous.

Service and food were phenomenal. We were enjoying a winter weekend getaway with the kids and the Irons was a fantastic option that exceeded our expectations. Our server Rita was so prompt, friendly and attentive to all our needs. Multiple rounds of apple juice needed for the kids 🤪 Would recommend the Irons to anyone seeking an upscale atmosphere, with excellent culinary options for the whole family.

Our waitress, Rita, was VERY friendly, attentive, cordial and made great food selections! The food was tasty, cooked just right, and substantial portions. We had the calamari for starters-couldn’t get enough! Then on to the chowder-I can see why they won Best Chowder in Mystic. The main courses - fish and chips and the blackened salmon-excellent! The atmosphere very friendly, warm and cozy. We recommend dining here. When in the area, we will certainly come again!

Found this spot randomnly while in Mystic. Our server was great and his recommended meals were on point. Food was delicious and we even took leftovers as it was well portioned. I'll be returning with the family and friends.
