The Irish Cottage

Had a great time at Irish Cottage. This place really feels like a true Irish pub. The wood bar, classic décor, and authentic Irish music create a great atmosphere that feels warm and genuine. Kara, the bartender, was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and she pours a perfect pint. The menu is simple and no-frills, which I actually loved. Just classic pub food done right. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, and it was excellent — thick corned beef, melted Swiss, sauerkraut, grilled rye, and very generous portions. The sweet potato fries were also great. I paired it with a pint of Smithwick’s, which was the perfect match for the Reuben. Went for dinner and the service was great. Started with buff chick dip and it was delicious. I got garlic parm chicken wings and greek salad. The chicken wings were nice and crispy, but surprisingly didn’t really have much flavor. My sisters loved their meals - braised short ribs and baked haddock. Ended with some holiday cocktails since they sounded good, but were so strong we couldn’t finish them (clearly not a martini drinkers LOL). Will def be back!

Such a fun old school Irish pub. They have Irish "street signs" on the walls, inside and out. You can tell they've been there a while with the old posters near the bathrooms. But keep up a fun, fresh seasonal menu. Lots of gluten free options like salads and nachos, you just have to ask for no croutons and such. Must try their Celtics nachos

Came in on a Thursday at about 145pm. The parking lot was busy, and the bar was busy. We said hello first to the hostess who was just leaning back on the counter, but facing us. We thought we would be greeted with a smile and a warm hello but nope. It was awkward. We asked for a high chair as we had a toddler, and she responded with "ill see if we have one". Okay, we'll sat down at a very large table for just 2 adults and a child sitting on the edge. The table was FILTHY, as was the high chair. We had to use our baby wipes to clean it off but the menus, also dirty and sticky, kept sticking to the table. Our waitress who never told us her name, took a while to greet us. The portions were large and very reasonably priced. We all had left overs! We were seated in front of the Irish band that was playing. The music was good, but made conversation a little difficult. We brought a a guest there who is from Houston. She was impressed!
