This is an absolute gem. Barbara and Scott greeted us and treated us like family. The Inn itself is charming and very clean. I love their decor throughout. (Scott is quite the artist!) Our room was very comfortable for a good night sleep. The location was great as well. For a short walk, we went downtown for a meal. The stroll there was beautiful in itself with all the beautiful Victorian homes. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Enjoyed 4 days exploring waterfalls and covered bridges in the area with vibrant fall foliage colors. Barbara and her husband were excellent hosts. Her breakfasts were always delicious. The rooms were spacious and very clean. A visiting artist was painting the foliage seen from the front porch and had materials for anyone to give it a go. I don't know if Barbara is an artist, but hers looked great. Plan to return again next year.
The Inn on Park Street is a lovely place to stay when visiting the west-central Vermont area. The owners Barbara and Scott are very responsive and have done an excellent job restoring and decorating this beautiful Victorian. Barbara makes a delicious breakfast and her coconut chocolate clusters are irresistible. We enjoyed the main drawing room with deep fireplace and pool table before going out to dinner in Brandon. Very nice rooms with original art make the place super cozy and original.
Magical. Wonderful hosts, Barbara and Scott, are kind, thoughtful, and full of info on the area. They painted the exterior of the inn in a beautiful blue (unlike the older picture shown here!). The interior is light, bright, cheerful, and squeaky clean, with beautiful and sometimes fanciful! furnishings. Much appreciated. Breakfasts are bountiful and Barbara's cooking is wonderful- her breakfast casserole and blueberry custard are superb. I enjoyed the roaring fire in the living room fireplace, and the interesting artwork- in a range of styles. People are visiting here in the winter to ski both North (Middlebury Snow Bowl) and South of the Inn (Killington/Pico). There is also the Nordic Cross Country center not far away at Middlebury College's Breadloaf campus. This inn is a gem.
This place was a gem! It's under new ownership and Barbara is amazing! It has a completely chill vibe, extraordinarily clean with big bedrooms and bathrooms. They are in the process of renovating it and you can tell it's going to be even more outstanding! My son loved his room and their huge leather couch and big screen tv. Not to mention that town is steps away and it has delicious restaurants and an antique shop where we found some printing press stamps! It's only 15 minute drive to Keewaydin where my other son was at camp. OH! Not to forget the food! Her brownies were a highlight and the fresh fruit at breakfast was delish! I highly recommend!
