The Honey Baked Ham Company

Boise recently got a Honey Baked Ham Co. on 2/20/23, I stopped by to check it out. I wanted to share these pictures with you, so you would know what to expect if you visited the store. Having never been to a HBHC before, I was surprised to see they have family meals available, as well as ready to make soups, condiments, and a large freezer case full of meats, side dishes, and desserts. I tried The Ham Classic ($8.49) - Honey Baked Ham, topped with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and hickory honey mustard, on a flaky croissant. I wasn’t expecting an authentic croissant, but my bread was dry and my sandwich would have benefited from a little bit more liberal use of mayo and hickory honey mustard. The ham was okay. Good store. Have been purchasing honey baked hams for over 30 years from different locations. Everyone really likes them. Some like the ham heated up where others like it cold to make sandwiches. Never disappointed.

I had placed a pickup order at the Boise store for the wrong day. I called and spoke to Joey. He was extremely helpful and very quick on being able to get our p/u date changed. Thank you Joey!

My husband asked me to surprise him for lunch today so I decided to stop into The Honey Baked Ham Company today. It was my first time here and I was excited to see what kind of goodies they offered. Walking in, the venue is bright and clean! They had a couple racks of goodies for sale. Soup mixes, sauces and cake. There were a a few tables for guests to have their meal it. It was very nice and open. I believe Joey was his name. He greeted me! Showed me the menu and gave me all the time to look it over. After a couple questions, I ordered the ham sandwich lunch. My husband's sandwich looked delicious! It was stacked with ham, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. It was on a buttery croissant. It also had a honey mustard on it as well. We ordered the ham Christmas pack that the website said fed 18-22 people. Ham, a small serving of cheesy potatoes, small serving of green bean casserole and a small serving of fried apples. The only thing that was good was the ham. There was no way the sides fed 18-22 people. We went out and bought a turkey breast (actually 3 of them), rolls and several other side dishes. It was a bad situation. Not worth it at all. We had 22 people and there was literally no way it could have fed 5 people let alone 22. Will NEVER buy this again.
