The Harlow on James Island just outside Charleston is the kind of place that instantly sets the mood, stylish yet relaxed, buzzing with energy, and effortlessly cool. The vibe is warm and welcoming, making it just as perfect for a laid-back dinner as it is for a lively night out with friends. Their seafood shines with fresh, coastal flavors, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, while the cocktail program is creative and expertly balanced, giving you plenty of reasons to linger. Such a great local spot. Whether you’re there for the food, the drinks, or the atmosphere, Harlow captures the spirit of James Island dining at its best. The outdoor patio allows pups and Callie had a hamburger outside with the family in 70 degrees, a great night for us all.

Harlow never misses. Incredible service every visit and a menu that makes you excited to try something new. Favorites are the oysters, hot garlic aioli fries, wedge salad, brussel sprouts, and the wagyu burger—chef’s kiss. One of our absolute favorite restaurants!

This was place was amazing, service was top notch. General manager sat us at our table, nice friendly guy and gave us the info on the oysters they were serving. Our server did a great job and I would give him a 10 if this would let me. Sorry I bad at remembering names but I would remember them the next time I visit. There food was amazing. I order a round of local oysters so good. Then I tried there Black and Blue, this the best burger I have had in so long. Perfectly cooked medium and the flavor was amazing. There fries with the lemon bay Aioli so good!!! Must try this place when you come to charleston area!!!!

Zen and Zack was so amazing. We took my daughter here 18th birthday and this place was amazing. They was professional and funny. I left the cupcakes with them plus at tip. Will definitely be back.

Love the food options—creative and delicious! Oysters are always fresh with changing options. Creative drinks too! Can get busy so even on off days, I still get a reservation, and be prepared to park in the neighboring Harris Teeter lot.
