The Golden Monkey Cafe

My office orders from here regularly. Golden Monkey is consistently amazing. Every time. Their Bai Sach Mon(crispy chicken and rice) is so good!! The pickled vegetables are the best I have ever had. Even their jerky is just so delicious. Very friendly staff. Consistently 10/10!

We are a family of three with a wheelchair. We ordered the lort cha (stir-fried noodles), lok lak (shaken beef), and chicken wings (with delicious sauces) and we loved each of our dishes. It's located in a great location and a plenty of parking. We noticed that the there were more online and pickup orders than dining in, but man was the restaurant popping with customers. It was very exciting to see. Inside the restaurant is very quaint, with about 3 tables, and there are more tables outside on the patio. There is a ramp for wheelchairs to get into the restaurant, but not the most wheelchair accessible. I think the seating and front table area could be reconfigured to be more efficient and spacious. Food and service were excellent, parking was a bit tough, there were only 3 parking spots available at the time and all were taken. We were happy to see that a local business was busy and parked on one of the side streets and walked over expecting to see a full restaurant but only surprised to see only 1 table. Seems the employees were using the parking lot instead. Not a big deal but took us a bit to find parking. Wondered how many other customers wanted to stop by but went elsewhere due to lack of parking. Grew up in the Lynn area and was sad to see a lot of the Cambodian community assimilate and establishments disappear, Great to see a Cambodian restaurant thriving again in Lynn.

I’ve had numerous dishes from The Golden Monkey Cafe and they never disappoint! Nowadays, there are fewer Cambodian restaurants in the area, so I make it a point to enjoy a delicious meal from here when I can. Every dish from here is a HIT! From the first bite, you can tell that this family owned spot puts their love and soul into every single dish. Their “Mekathang” AKA flat rice noodles are a family favorite. The sauce is savory with a rich consistency that coats every noodle. I usually get the beef and seafood option which comes with tender pieces of beef and juicy pieces of shrimp. The vegetables that come with the dish are always fresh and crisp, especially the baby corn. Their “Bai Sach Mon” AKA crispy chicken & rice is a go to comfort meal too.
