The Fearrington House Restaurant

Witt was the best server that we could ask for. The food here is some of the best that you could ever ask for. The atmosphere was wonderful inside this Farmhouse Restaurant that opened in the 70s. I highly recommend this place. You also get to see the Belted Galloway cows, goats and chickens.

Went for a Thursday afternoon tea and it felt like some of the items were not made fresh to order. For instance, the crackers in the pimento cheese were soft because they had been in there for a while. The sandwiches, while flavorful, had dense bread, like they had been in the refrigerator for a while and not freshly made for our order. Maybe things are different for a weekend tea verses a week day tea, but we will look to try some other tea houses in the area for some comparisons.

What can I say? Anyplace Chef Edna Lewis worked has to be spectacular. her chocolate soufflé recipe with a dark chocolate ganache Chef's Kiss! went with friends everything was amazing from the apps , service, atmosphere. From start to finish, this was an exceptional dining experience. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated by the host. The interior is tasteful and elegant, with the charm of an old house. Every detail of our evening felt thoughtful and intentional. I was celebrating my birthday, and when we arrived at our table, the menu read “Happy Birthday Ms. Krug!” — such a lovely touch. The food was spectacular. It’s clear the chefs are highly skilled; each dish was beautifully presented, well-balanced, and dare I say, perfect. The service is unmatched. The Fearrington House was absolutely exquisite. Everything from the customized birthday to the menu, the wine and where we were placed was beautiful. Our waiter was awesome and he had a wonderful personality. The "RESA" wine was beautiful. The quality was amazing worth the money. I loved that everything was a slower paced because it left more time to talk and enjoy ourselves.
