The Fairbanks House

My husband and I were thrilled to stay at the Fairbanks House! The home is elegant and comfortable including the modern amenities amid a Victorian setting. Rob, the owner, was warm and welcoming. As former B&B owners, we noticed many of the thoughtful details. Every employee was friendly and professional. The place was spotlessly clean with lots of extra towels and storage space in the bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and freshly made. The afternoon cookies were a treat! The location was wonderful. After 3 days on the road, we were happy to be able walk to restaurants leaving our car safely parked in their lot. Look forward to returning next year.

A Historic Gem in the Heart of Amelia Island This was our first stay at the Fairbanks House, and after doing extensive research on the many accommodations on Amelia Island, we truly found a winner. Built in the late 1800s, this magnificent house is a masterclass in craftsmanship, filled with architectural and familial touches that have survived nearly 150 years. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and served as a quiet retreat. The location is ideal—surrounded by stately period mansions, yet within easy walking distance of the main tourist areas. We initially chose the property for its stellar reputation and the convenience of off-street parking, but the highlight of the stay was the hospitality. We spent a perfect weekend celebrating our anniversary at The Fairbanks House B&B. The historic home and grounds are lovely! The staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. The extra special touches such as a wine and hors d’oeuvre hour, freshly baked cookies and a delicious breakfast each morning made our stay extra special. The home is located within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in the historic district. The town of Fernandina is charming with many beautifully restored homes and close proximity to the beach. |We shall return to the Fairbanks House again.

The Fairbanks House is such a beautiful and charming B&B. We recently spent three nights there and stayed in the Kitchen Suite. The room was spacious and immaculate and has a lovely private porch that overlooks the pool. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the patio two mornings and had breakfast in the stunning dining room our last morning due to chilly weather. Social hour each afternoon was great and we met a fun couple from GA. Being able to park our car all weekend and walk to all the shops and restaurants was perfect! We loved The Patio Restaurant. Flint, Kim, & Tammy, thank you so much for everything you did to create such a special memory for us. We stayed at the Fairbanks House for our 21st wedding anniversary this past weekend, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was delightful, our room was fantastic and decorated so beautifully for Christmas, the grounds are exquisite, breakfast was delicious, the location is superb, and the fresh baked cookies were an added bonus. I can’t say enough great things about them. We will definitely be back.
