Hoyt House Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at the Hoyt House Inn and booked out the entire property for our wedding weekend, with our wedding party staying at the house—and we could not have been more impressed. The hospitality from the owners was exceptional from start to finish. They truly went above and beyond to make our weekend special. The back porch, pool, and bar were all fantastic spaces to gather and spend time together outside of our rooms. The location is perfect to explore downtown Fernandina. The breakfast each morning was incredible, and every detail of the stay felt thoughtful and intentional. A total hidden gem! The Hoyt House is beautifully restored, perfectly balancing historic character with modern comfort. We stayed in the Hoyt Penthouse Suite and were so impressed.|The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. Lindy, David and Heather served phenomenal meals - they were all absolutely delicious and kept us fueled for the whole day. You can tell they put so much thought into the ingredients and presentation.|Beyond the food, the hospitality is top-notch. Lindy and David are the most gracious hosts, offering the perfect balance of being attentive and giving us our space. The location is also ideal; it’s tucked away enough for total peace, but just a short distance from all the restaurants and shops. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t recommend it highly

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and I have to say the Hoyt House set the bar very high. Lindy was a wonderful host, allowing us to tour the home (each room is uniquely stunning), making us special breakfasts to accommodate our diet, and from 4-5 pm they offered a free glass of wine or beer in their quaint bar, where we enjoyed light banter with other guests before scattering to our individual dinners plans. Lindy also offered a list of live music and restaurants to check out in the area and even offered their own music entertainment in the expansive backyard area. It was too cold to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but we now have an excuse to come back in a warmer month! Thank you, Lindy! We had a wonderful time!

Our flight back to NY was cancelled, so we decided to stay at the Hoyt House. It was such a great experience! There were so many highlights from our stay. First, Katie was helpful and accommodating. She allowed us to stay in the room a little longer since our flight back was not until late afternoon. Second, the breakfast was delicious (potatoes, eggs, blueberry scone). Location is downtown and walkable distance to everything Amelia has to offer. We were free to move around the property and enjoyed reading on picnic blankets in the front porch. It was hard to leave, but we really appreciated Katie's hospitality and going above and beyond for us. We can't wait to get back. Thank you so much for everything!

My wife and I stayed at Hoyt House on Amelia Island for our anniversary while visiting family in Jacksonville, and it was exactly the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. The home is beautiful and thoughtfully kept, and our room was truly unique, the kind of space that makes you feel special the second you walk in. The hosts were warm, friendly, and approachable, and you could tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience. Breakfast each morning was a highlight.
