The Dog House

This review is something hopefully management will see and correct so I can bump my review up. I have bought a quart of Brunswick stew from here twice now. They put the extremely hot soup in a styrofoam cup with a soft drink lid. The first time by the time I got home and got the soup out of the car, in a series of circumstances with the softness of the container it ended up spilled all over the ground. I thought it was my error until the second time, when I realized that the soup is so hot it is melting the top, making the soup overflow when you hold the soft container, and then burning your hands as it seeps out. This time it spilled in my car due to this. Get actual to go plastic containers PLEASE. Someome is going to end up hurt. The stew is amazing and the hot dogs are good. Would love

Old school hot dog stand with quick service and a pretty big menu. Standalone little building, outdoor seating and you order at the window. Collie dog is the Carolina style with chili and slaw. Free Wi-fi courtesy of Duke Health next door. Drive through is available, four parking spots out front along with the benches and umbrellas. Great staff, super friendly and always serving up hot food now. They keep it moving. 2020 Update Still great food and people. Angus beef for available as well. Enjoy.

I usually love the Dog House but was extremely disappointed this time I went (4/10/24). I paid for a Hound Dog Tailwagger (that is a mustard & chili hot dog). As you can see in the picture, it looks like I got barely any chili and maybe one squeeze of mustard. I went around lunch time and I understand they were busy, but I believe I got ripped off. I basically paid extra for a plain hot dog.

I.made a U turn to get to this cute lil drive thru / walk up place. We shall return!

Went to the doghouse today asked for two puppies with extra mayo and ketchup. Once I got home opened the bag and the hot dogs barely had any mayo on them. This is not what I asked for nor is this the first time. Photo added
