Inn at Teardrops

I love Hillsborough and the community in which this cozy little Inn is perfectly located. The Inn keepers are most friendly and kind. I felt at home and comfortable. During my stay I enjoyed a nice evening on the porch with my friend in the rocking chairs then retiring to a beautifully made and comfortable bed. This was my first time having ever stayed at a B&B, and it was memorable. I will be gladly returning when my travels take me back there. Further info: The Inn is perfectly located in a comfortable walking distance from all the restaurants, wine and brew shops, pubs and farmers market, and amazing local art galleries! Oh yes, be sure to stop by the local Matthew's chocolate store to enjoy a sweet treat before bed! Go check it out!

My sisters and I recently went to Hillsborough, NC, for an overnight together and had the best time. We found The Inn at Teardrops online. The house is beautiful and so tastefully decorated. We were only there overnight; I wish we'd had more time to explore all the antiques and books and artwork in our rooms. The innkeeper, Tom, and caretaker, Jorge, know what to do to ensure that their guests have a perfect experience. Tom's been at it a long time and knows a lot about the history of Hillsborough. Jorge is a wonderful cook. The website lists a continental breakfast, but in my book, it was a full breakfast with a cute teddy bear on our plates created from oranges, sausage-and-egg casserole, and some of the most delicious pancakes we've ever had. We had never been to Hillsborough and came to explore the possibility of living here after reading so many positive things about the town. I must say that both the Inn at Teardrops and Hillsborough have lived up to their glowing reviews.||||We stayed in the Richmond Room and found it quiet and comfortable. There is no TV or phone, but the connectivity was perfect and all that we needed. Others have described this as an authentic historical home and it is absolutely that with its squeaky floorboards and sometimes listing surfaces all which add to the charm. ||||Hospitality is where the inn shines. This was our first trip to Hillsborough to visit family and our first stay at a bed and breakfast. It really made our trip. The owner is absolutely delightful. A bit of a history buff with interesting perspective on the town. The inn is full of antiques that added so much charm. It's also located pretty close to the center of town and an easy walk to local restaurants, coffee shops, shops and a beautiful River Walk. The personal service, attention to detail about our stay has us now looking for B&Bs as our first choice in future travels. Highly recommend the Inn at Teardrops!

My daughter and I stayed here for nine days while our house was being renovated. Tom the owner was very hospitable. He had breakfast with us and gave us a lot of information of the history of Hillsborough.The innkeeper, Jorge, made delicious breakfasts. We both love staying here. Even though we live in Hillsborough we are planning on coming back.
