The Coffee Pot Sandwich Shop

Coffee pot is sooo good. The drive from Boston is worth it. Located next to a bank in Southern Bangor. The sandwiches are delicious. Plenty of parking outside and accessible. They have a drive thru window for pre orders. There is a bathroom inside. The employees seem real nice and are well known. The sandwiches are huge. They can custom make sandwiches or they have a few premade ones ready to go. Their thing is putting the meats on top of the sandwich and the vegetables and stuff lower. I get the egg salad. They sell chips and drinks. Humpty dumpty chips to be exact. Plenty of tables inside. The only weird thing about the setup is to drive around in the parking lot you have to drive thru to get around the closest side to the bank, which to me should be the outside land. I get a gluten free sandwich here quite often. When I first heard they did GF sandwiches I was excited but nervous because I have celiac. When I called to ask them about cross contamination they assured me they have a separate station with everything for gluten free sandwiches. I have never gotten sick eating here! However maybe 2 months or so ago I ordered my regular "Turkey Coffee Pot" and it came with maybe 6 tiny little nuggets of turkey. I was so shocked because normally there's so much meat on the sandwich it's spilling out. I called them to let them know that this happened. They did offer to make me a new one but I'd already gone down the road. I've ordered my regular sandwich a couple times since then with no issues until today. Today I again got very few tiny pieces of turkey on

Everyone was very nice and the sandwiches were excellent. For a sandwich the seems relatively "simple" they are absolutely incredible. It's awesome to still be surprised at how good some places are. Get a coffee pot

It's an unassuming little place sharing a plaza with a bank, but the locals come here in droves for what is almost certainly the best cold sandwiches in the city of Bangor. I had a Deluxe Coffee Pot with a Moxie, and my brother had the Italian sandwich. Everything was fresh, tasty and filling-- a good balance of flavors and ample portions! The place was buzzing on a Friday morning, but we got our food quickly and it was well worth the drive.

Staff was very slow coming to the front counter, easily mixed up when taking my very simple order, unsure if they had egg salad (which was on the menu), the turkey sub had no flavor (even with salt added) & they don't sell or offer lettuce at all there. Most of the dining room tables were dirty.
