Hands down the best food in Bangor. We had an incredible night at Novio’s—everything from the service to the atmosphere to the food was flawless. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience. Every course was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, and you can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do. The drinks were just as impressive. Creative cocktails, and an incredible bourbon selection that made it hard to choose just one. You can tell someone there really knows what they’re doing behind the bar. Great food! Amazing cocktails! Fantastic atmosphere! The lamb lollipops were amazing. Rare and crispy, so perfect. The oysters were delightful. I had scallops which were done to perfection. I enjoyed quite a few cocktails. My favorite was Cortney’s Smoked Old Fashioned. The smoke was subtle and delicious. Courtney has done a fantastic job with the cocktails. Everyone was raving about them.

Wow. I hadn't heard any firsthand referrals, but read tons of great reviews, and decided I should give it a try for date night. My wife and I were both blown away. Smoked old fashioned was a great way to kick things off, along with the lobster chowder (hands down best chowder I've ever eaten), and my wife couldn't say enough about the maple glazed pork belly. While the greens were not the high point in our wonderful experience, they were far from a low - no complaints whatsoever. Then the main courses. Duck w/ gnocchi for me, and my wife had the salmon. It's been said that sauce is the boss, and both of these dishes would firmly support that statement. But beyond the sauce, the rest of each dish still stands out as superb. This was a business dinner and our last dinner in Bangor before returning home. Novio’s solid reviews are what drew me to come here. The prix fixe menu was appetizing to all of us. I added the wine pairing to the meal which added to the experience. The food was prepared with exceptional quality and the flavors all melded together. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an intimate setting with high quality food and service. After a couple of days of pub food, this was a beautiful conclusion to this trip! Novio’s did not disappoint.

The salmon and pork belly nigiri were absurd. The rice was wayyy too moist 😅, but otherwise best salmon of my life and that risotto was awesome. If you pureed some pees and it tinted it green is the only thing I could do different haha but otherwise was the best. Great drinks and service too. Highly recommend.
