Chimera Coffee

This is a lovely local coffee shop in Dowtown Bangor. There's a good selection of coffee and teas as well as pastries. I was happy to see that hey have a decent selection of non dairy milk options, and the seating area is comfortable. The baristas are friendly and efficient.

Solid choice for a very good cup of coffee downtown. Went here on a Thursday late afternoon, and it wasn’t too busy. Espresso drink was very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit, and I’ll be going back here when I need caffeine in Bangor.

Great vibes in Bangor, excellent Oat lattes and turmeric lattes! Love the community tree by the front door and the community recipe cards. Many tables were taken up by big groups of squatters, and I don’t blame them. Chimera is a great hang. We also enjoyed the GF chocolate chip banana bread. Wish we lived closer, and very worth stopping by if you’re in Bangor to see the former King house. Free parking in the garage nearby too, if you’re out under two hours.

I was in Bangor this morning and said to myself "I need a coffee before driving back down to Waterville" Saw this place was 2 blocks from where I was working, spun over and got an iced americano. Great tasting coffee, cool little spot and the guy working there greeted me with enthusiastic energy.

I love going to Chimera when I'm writing or grading papers. The atmosphere is contemporary, welcoming, and comfortable. They bake delicious, homemade gluten-free and vegan treats, and they offer a wide assortment of dairy-free milk options for your coffee of choice. I love their matcha and Americanos. This is easily the best coffee shop in Bangor—and beyond!
