The Bowman House Bed and Breakfast

On a rainy morning in early January my partner and I were picked up by Jan. We were hiking a 500 mile section of the Appalachian Trail. Jan showed us her lovely 1910 Historical Home. Everything was organized with beauty in mind. Jan explained the layout of Waynseboro and pointed out the best restaurants. If we had a question she quickly replied via text. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed Jans attention to our needs and resupplying for the next part of our hike.

My daughter and I have enjoyed two wonderful stays at The Bowman House. Jan and Dave are incredibly kind, gracious, and so thoughtful and intentional with their hospitality. The beds are comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated with lovely art and furniture. We’ve felt right at home. The breakfast is delicious and I really appreciate the attention to detail by checking which of us prefers coffee or tea in the morning. We plan to stay here whenever we are in the Staunton/Waynesboro area!

We ended up at the Bowman House after another location was unavailable, and we are very glad we did. It was a wonderful experience. The historic building was beautiful and well-maintained, as was our spacious and comfy room. The owners could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Breakfast delicious and timing was flexible. Also, it was delightful to hear about the history of the house. This will be our go-to place in Waynesboro from now on.

The Bowman House is one of the best bed and breakfast places we have ever experienced. The room was very nice, clean, and well decorated. We stayed here as a base for our Appalachian Trail hike in the Shenandoah National Park. The hosts, Jan and Dave, are super nice. They also provide shuttle support and laundry service for guests. The breakfast was different every day and also amazing. The baked apple French toast and special recipe made from scratch biscuits were amazing! We highly recommend the Bowman House if you are in the Waynesboro area of VA.

Jan and her husband Dave are amazing hosts. We awoke to a delicious home cooked breakfast each morning (the real deal, not just toast!). Dave recommended some really cool spots for us to check out. The room we stayed in was so comfy and the house is gorgeous. The music they play adds a very regal touch! Thank you both so much!
