The Boulevard Restaurant & Bar

We waited over 50 minutes for our food to come. None of it was hot. The steak which was ordered as medium rare was pink inside like it should be, but it was dry. The owner was not apologetic. He said we were “hard to please”. He also said that they weren’t McDonalds. We would have gotten better service and a more pleasant attitude there. The place was not crowded. A party of four were sitting at the bar and the owner explained that’s why our food was taking so long because the chef was preparing their meal.

The Boulevard is one of our favorite places to visit when we are in the north country. The owners Bob and Jill are so fantastic. They are welcoming and do a fantastic job of offering great food and good service. If you are around Hayward I would highly recommend stopping by this business and enjoying a great experience. PS..Just wish Bob was a Packer fan!

Took close to an hour to get our food. When the food finally came out, it was cold. Chicken and steak were dry. Overpriced mediocre food. When we spoke to the owner, he was very rude and defensive. He told us that “this is not McDonalds.” Well sir, we would have been better off eating at McDonald’s! I’ve never encountered anything like this before. I do not recommend this restaurant.

We chose The Boulevard for our 35th wedding Anniversary. I love the casual/unpretentious atmosphere. The food is fantastic. I had the Salmon bowl. The salmon is generously sized, and comes with wild rice and asparagus. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more delicious piece of salmon. My Husband had the baked Walleye fillet. It was cooked to perfection. Just delicious. Even the steamed veggies were cooked to perfection and delicious. The Boulevard has become my new favorite restaurant.

We have been coming to Hayward for 20 years and this was seriously the best chicken bowl that I’ve ever had and hands-down the best kids food. The fresh vegetables, including baked potato was magnificent and the mac & cheese was hands-down the best bar food mac & cheese ever. Service was also excellent. We will actually already be coming back here tomorrow again to eat ! Can’t get enough
