The Blue Point

My husband, myself, and our children decided to go to the Blue Point after reading a recent fb post about them in town. We had no idea they were there. The menu is very large and there’s something for everyone. The food was so good! The gyro platter comes with a plate of pita and tzatziki sauce! We ordered the point sampler, which is the pita bread with hummus, spicy feta cheese spread, babaganoush and tzatziki sauce. I didn’t get a before photo, only once we started to inhale it. The owners Maria and Edy were very nice, love the family owned feel. They were very welcoming and truly cared about us as customers. So good, can’t wait to go go back.

A hidden gem. Great Greek, Italian and American restaurant. Came here and was pleasantly surprised by the food. Excellent, home made options. I had the falafel appetizer, as well as the gyro platter with a generous portion of meat as well as fries, salad and rice. It was delicious. The home made rice pudding was a great way to end the meal. Maria, her son and the rest of the staff were super friendly and attentive. A must try.

Ate here for the first time tonight. Impressed as soon as I walked in. Maria greeted us warmly (sort of felt like we knew each other). Everyone at the table ordered Greek. Alison served us, also very friendly. Now I’ve eaten Greek food several places- this was probably the best I’ve had! My husband and I got the Single Greek Platter for $35, came with rice, fries, and salad. We still had leftovers! Ended the meal with cheesecake. I personally don’t eat cheesecake but I tasted it…it was so good! Homemade! Menu includes Italian, fish, American, appetizers, and breakfast, and I don’t remember what else. Will definitely be going back! Oh, and on the way out met the chef, Eddie. Family business.

For lunch, Ordered a chicken souvlaki to-go. The first half of the sandwich was just onion, tomato and lettuce. When i finally got to the chicken, they were little tiny cubes. Fries were cold, soggy, and unsalted. The best part was the rice pudding. For $15, I could go somewhere else and enjoy it more.

Just had a great lunch at The Blue Point Restaurant. My grilled chicken, rice and salad was very savory. I also had a small bowl of their lentil soup which did not disappoint. Had the opportunity to meet the owners Maria and Edy and they were an absolute delight. They made sure I had everything I needed. This place will accommodate you and your pallet the best way they can. Definitely a great addition to our town here in Pompton Lakes NJ. If you get a chance make sure you stop by.
