The Black Goose Tavern

Food is amazing. Bartender was on point despite having multiple customers. Bar pizza is a perfect portion for one. I started with the French onion soup which was also amazing. Local beers are on tap too. The fries are super fresh and the onion ring straws are amazing. Can’t say enough about this new spot.

I have been multiple times since they opened and everything from the staff to the food is amazing! I have always been greeted with a smile and never have to wait for a beer it’s usually pretty busy but have been lucky to get a seat right away. The North Shore roast beef is Phenomenal I’ve had that 5 times so far and it will give Kelly’s a run for their money! I love their French onion soup as well but the pizza is what I have been waiting for and it didn’t disappoint the edges were perfectly laced and the taste was there all in all it’s a great place the one down fall that they do have is it’s not closer to my house but that probably is for the best! Love the Goose I’ll be stopping omw home from work today to finally try the corned beef ….. stay tuned

I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, while my husband went with the Meatloaf. The food itself was delicious—flavorful and well-prepared, which speaks to the kitchen’s potential. However, the service left something to be desired. I understand they’re still finding their rhythm, but the wait was long (about 45 minutes), and our meals didn’t arrive together. My husband had to start eating before mine came out, which was disappointing. We also noticed other tables being served complimentary popcorn while we sat with nothing, which felt inconsistent. A little attention to uniformity in guest experience would go a long way. Lastly, the pricing raised an eyebrow—$4 for a Diet Coke seems steep for a tavern setting. Busy Friday night, packed yet service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the Cod fish with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. I always have a habit of finishing the thing I like the most last. I have to say it wasn't an easy decision and that includes the broccoli. Everything was EXCELLENT! Price reasonable as well. My wife had a smash burger with onion rings and that was excellent as well. She couldn't finish the onion rings and took at least half home. Will be going back soon.

It was our first time so we ordered a few things to try ! We tried the fish and chip. Fish was lightly coated and fried. Tasted fresh and not overly fishy, would definitely order again. Tater tots were good. The teriyaki steak bites were amazing. The burger was really good, 3 out of 3 of us really thought it was great, and my husband is super picky with burgers. I tried the Cobb salad and that was just “ok” We were taken right in and nothing took too long even though it was busy. Server was great.
