The Big Spoon

I made my way over to Newport today and found this cool little spot called The Big Spoon and I am so glad i did! What a treasure right in downtown #NewportNH! Plenty of parking right on the street and just a short walk to the doors. This is tucked back in beside MJ Harrington and The Newport Fitness center. Everything looked amazing, my cappuccino was perfect and the raspberry and cheese danish was light and airy and a perfect blend of sweet/savory. It was pretty good sized too! I even snagged a container of caramel tiramisu for a special some one.

I go here multiple times a week, I love it! There’s something about showing up and having someone remember your long order that is so nice. I rarely have time to sit at the tables and hang out but when I do, it’s a cozy, quiet environment to get some work done while sipping on an amazingly well crafted latte.

The coffee is delicious, I had a cappuccino and hubby had an espresso. We took home lots of baked goodies, pumpkin croissant 😋, tiramisu 🤤, cookie and another baked good hubby got, he loved. Mike is a hard working local and he's decorated the old jail beautifully ❤️. You must stop by for a coffee and pastry, or some delicious ice cream 🍦 from Wisconsin!!!! Had to check this place out. The 5 stars are for real. Great selection of coffees, teas and pastries, like you’d expect to see in a big city. Everything we tried was so delicious! We’re so lucky to have The Big Spoon in western NH.

A genuine, humble, small town bakery with owners that will leave you smiling and goodies that will have you coming back for more tomorrow! I truly cannot speak highly enough of my experience here, both convivally and food wise! There is a small candy wall for the kids that ranges from $0.25 and up, which I absolutely adore and admire in this economy. The baked goods, even arriving late in the evening were fresh, moist and just absolutely delicious. I even tried one of their vegan ice cream flavors and was honestly very pleasantly surprised! Oh, AND they already started a loyalty/rewards program! All in all it's a great, humble, inviting and authentic atmosphere with great goodies; you are definitely missing out if you don't stop in, so be sure to come support this new addition to the Sunsh
